CHRISTMAS DESSERTS

Savour the Season with an assortment of delicious desserts.
Here you have some sweet ideas for Christmas:

Bring holiday cheer into your home with these fun and beautiful sugar cookies. These cut-out sugar cookies will be the star of your holiday. You can make them in varying shapes and sizes and decorate them to reflect the festive season with sprinkles, edible glitters and coloured frosting or royal icing. They are the Christmas Sugar cookies. Taste them!

Mince Pies are an essential part of Christmas. They are made from minced fruit. In the US, the filling is known by the name "fruitmince".
What are Mince Pies? They are small pies, usually 5-7cm, filled with fruitmince. The filling is a mixture of raisins, sultanas, apricots, glace sherries, candied citrus peel, apples, nuts and mixed spices: nutmeg and cinnamon. You can also try this Mincemeat Cake.

Traditionally a huge log would be selected in the forest on Christmas Eve, decorated with ribbons and dragged back home. This was the "Bringing in the Yule log or "Christmas Log". It is said to ensure good luck and ketp running throught the 12 days of Chirstmas.

You're not going to find many pies easier to prepare than this one. The irresistible cookie dough filling is quick to mix, and you don't even have to prebake the shell. Taste the Chocolate Chip Walnut Pie.

Other suggestion for this season is a Jelly Roll Cake . To
make a jelly roll, you spread jams, jellies or whipped cream onto a thin, flat cake, and roll it into a log. Although it may be complicated, it isn´t. Just a small, rectangular terry cloth or tea towel when rolling to remove moisture and prevent the cake from sticking.

Walnut Brownies Cookies, Linzer CookiesChristmas Plum Pudding, Chocolate Fudge for Christmas, Cinnamon Surprise Cake, Tree Trimmer Treats and Christmas Triffle are other options.
The Cinnamon Cake is a sour-cream coffee cake, with pockets of sweet cinnamon, which makes a lovely gift to enjoy on Christmas morning, or any other day.

The fudge is a type of confectionery which is usually very sweet, extremely rich and sometimes flavored with cocoa. It is made by mixing sugar, butter and milk and heatin it to the soft-ball stage at 116ºC and then beating the mixture while it cools so that it acquires a smooth, creamy consistency.
