BRITISH MONEY

The Brish currency is the pound sterling. The sign for the pound is ...
British do not use the euro. Although a few of the big shops will accept euro, it is rarely used across Britain. Since decimalisation in 1971, the pound is divided into 100 pence.
The singular of pence is "penny". The symbol of the penny is "p". Hence an amount such as 50p is often pronounced "fifty pee" rather than "fitfy pence".
There are both coins and banknotes.

Here are some  interactive activities to help you recognise and use British Currency:
  1. Money Box: You can drag coins into a  money box and then calculate he money box total.
  2. Sweet Shop: You can shoose items to buy and then pay for them by dragging coins onto a hand.
